To improve your experience whilst using the McDonald’s app, besides setting up a password for the account, we will be introducing an additional security feature for all app users to protect their data.
Keep enjoying all the features and deals on the McDonald’s app by activating a “2nd factor”. This protects your account through the use of an email address, which needs to be verified to enable continuous use.
To improve your experience whilst using the McDonald’s app, besides setting up a password for the account, we will be introducing an additional security feature for all app users to protect their data.
Keep enjoying all the features and deals on the McDonald’s app by activating a “2nd factor”. This protects your account through the use of an email address, which needs to be verified to enable continuous use.
Go to the McDonald’s App.
Select “My Account” from the Settings menu.
Ensure you have entered a valid email address in your account details. This can be edited accordingly.
Tap on “Enable Two-Factor Authentication“.
Tap on “Continue” to begin the process.
When you choose to turn on the authentication feature, a 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email. This needs to be entered in the McDonald’s App.
Open your email, copy the 6-digit code and paste or type it in the field available.
The code remains valid for 4 hours, so don’t sleep on it!
That’s it. You’re done. It’s as simple as that.
Until 1st June 2021, you’ll be able to use the McDonald’s app without being required to enable the Two-Factor Authentication. After this date, this protection feature will be mandatory to all our users who wish to use their account.
